Susan Mortimer, Esq. Susan Hargus-Mortimer graduated magna cum laude from Georgia State University College of Law and has a B.A. in business administration and finance from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Susan is a forensic accountant and litigation consultant. She specializes in the reconstruction, reconciliation and analysis of financial records in preparation for or in support of litigation, primarily 60 % family law and 40% business disputes, embezzlement and fraud. Susan has also practiced law for 8 years, practicing domestic law almost exclusively for 5 of those years as well as handling civil litigation matters, including accounting malpractice, officer and director liability and business litigation. Prior to obtaining her law degree, Susan started the litigation support group for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia where she provided trial consulting services on civil and criminal cases. Ms. Mortimer was formerly with Internet Security Systems, where she was involved in a number of special projects involving cutting edge network and computer security and was also a bank fraud investigator with the federal government. Before that, Susan was a bank fraud investigator with the Federal government and she also served as a forensic accountant and litigation consultant with Ernst and Young for over six years. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Cobb Bar Association and is obtaining her certification as a financial neutral for collaborative law matters. Susan Hargus
